There are two ways to read the Oil level with this dipstick, bike on jiffy stand FHS or upright and FHU. Larger cubic inch engines as well with worn and or loose ring clearances will have increased blow by. Blow by is pressure that forced past the rings and cylinders, pushed into crankcase then Oil tank.
