Its plug and play. I wanted to replace it with a Dakota digital. Best to write your mileage down. If yours is in poor condition or have you had to replace it with something else but really wanted keep your bike all Big Dog.
This came off a 2005 bull Dog with less than 3000 miles no I do not have any oem instructions when the Big mechanic pulled it. My bike was carburetors, so I don't know if that matters any does clear the mileage out, according to him.
